Tuesday Travel Tip: Bring Your Own Spork

More often than not, I have a spork with me. It's a lovely pink plastic one that is fairly durable and definitely reusable. Here's just a sample of the myriad of situations in which it comes in handy:

"Want to try this? It's really delicious."
"Oops! We ran out of utensils at the picnic."
"Oh, wait, I forgot to grab a spoon from the frozen yogurt shop."
"My ice cream cone is melting!"
"Welcome to your new sublet. We haven't done the dishes in awhile."

The answer to all of these?

"No problem, I brought my own spork."

  1. LOL Dawn, I love this! And it's perfect. My husband bought us each a Spork at Eddie Bauer before a recent trip. I laughed at him. But then we used them for sharing creme brulee in a cafe, serving ourselves cheese on a picnic, and several other moments. He saved the day! Plus, they're plastic so they can go through security in your carry-on. Thanks for your excellent travel tips, Dawn.

  2. I'm glad that I have a fellow spork believer! I think mine is from REI - so useful!
